Apple Deploys Early iOS 26.5.2 Security Fixes to Beat AI-Powered Hacks
Apple released iOS 26.5.2, iPadOS 26.5.2, and macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 with more than 25 security fixes, shipped earlier than planned to counter AI-assisted hacking threats. Apple says the fixes address vulnerabilities that were not shown to be exploited and compressed the window between disclosure and deployment. The company is collaborating with Anthropic’s Project Glasswing and its Claude Mythos Preview to hunt vulnerabilities, though it’s unclear whether Mythos drove the acceleration.
