Six-year-old Ebola patient found safe after hospital abduction in DR Congo
A six-year-old Ebola patient abducted with her mother from a hospital in Butembo by armed men has been found about 18km away at an Ebola treatment centre; her condition is stable. The incident occurs amid a fast-moving outbreak in eastern DR Congo that has recorded over 890 cases and more than 230 deaths, with repeated attacks on treatment facilities and ongoing WHO/Africa CDC efforts to strengthen the response.
