
Tropical Depression 9 Strengthens, Threatens Texas Gulf Coast
Tropical Depression Nine has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to become Tropical Storm Harold before making landfall on the south Texas coast. The storm is forecasted to bring rain and tropical storm force winds to the Middle Texas coastal region, with a risk of rip currents and isolated tornadoes. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for several areas in Texas. Residents are advised to prepare for power outages, excessive rainfall, flooding, wind damage, and possible tornadoes.
