Stock market strategist warns of impending S&P 500 crash while others predict a bullish run
Troy Gayeski, the chief market strategist at FS Investments, has warned that the S&P 500 index could fall by about 22% over the coming quarters, and investors should start selling their holdings now. The benchmark index has risen about 8% so far in 2023 on hopes that the Federal Reserve will soon end interest-rate increases. Gayeski said that this is a golden opportunity to use this bear market rally to de-risk in advance of potentially very painful losses over the next six, nine, 12 months.
