King Charles and Camilla heartbroken as Nepal floods kill hundreds and Britons go missing
A glacial-lake outburst near the Nepal–Tibet border triggered deadly floods in Nepal, killing hundreds and leaving more than 1,300 people missing, including dozens of Britons on trekking tours. The UK pledged £5m in aid, and King Charles and Queen Camilla said they are heartbroken and offer sympathy to those affected as authorities warn of a possible secondary flood near the Bhote Koshi river and coordinate with Nepali officials.
