A Hackaday piece reports that the original Quest (Quest 1) now has an unlocked bootloader thanks to the QuestStack tool, which automates privilege escalation to give users privileged hardware access and step outside Meta’s walled garden; the unlock currently applies only to Quest 1, with a simpler web-based method also available by a separate project.

In Dragon's Dogma 2, players can access various vocations with unique combat and exploration abilities. Some vocations are available at the start, while others need to be unlocked. Players can unlock the secret ending cutscene in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC by obtaining Briar's Book from Professor Briar after completing The Indigo Disk DLC. By taking the book to the Crystal Pool at Kitakami Island and reaching the pier on the lake inside the sleeping volcano, players can trigger the secret ending featuring Professor Turo or Sada, depending on the game version. Unlocking the true ending will change the menu screen and reveal Professor Turo's Violet Book on the table.
Google has made the set up process for Pixel Watch Unlock less obvious by placing it in the Settings app of Pixel phones. Users need to navigate to Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock > Fingerprint & Face Unblock to enable Watch Unlock. However, Google warns that this method may be less secure and that the watch may unlock the phone even if it's out of reach. Only one wearable can be enabled at a time, and users cannot have Extend Unlock and Watch Unlock active simultaneously. Once set up, Watch Unlock can be triggered by swiping up on the lockscreen or tapping a notification.
Modern Warfare 3 has introduced a new LMG called the TAQ Eradicator ahead of the Season 1 update. To unlock it, players need to complete five weekly challenges, which can be done in multiplayer, zombies, or a combination of both. The challenges include tasks like getting operator kills, fury kills, and using the JAK Raven Kit. If the challenges are not completed before Season 1 begins, the LMG may become locked behind different challenges or an armory unlock. The TAQ Eradicator is reminiscent of the HAMR from Black Ops 2 and offers a larger magazine capacity.
To unlock the Throwing Star in Modern Warfare 3, players must reach Level 30 and unlock the Throwing Knife. They then need to get 50 kills with the Throwing Knife, which can be done quickly on fast-paced maps like the 24/7 Rust playlist. Once the kills are accumulated, the Throwing Star will unlock, functioning the same as the Throwing Knife but with added ninja flair.
