SpaceX's Launch Plans Thwarted by Strong Winds and Last-Minute Scrub
Strong upper-level winds forced SpaceX to scrub the Starlink 6-22 mission from Cape Canaveral, delaying the launch until Monday. However, SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, with its first stage booster landing on a drone ship in the Pacific. The company is ramping up activity at both launch sites, with SLC-40 in Florida being used for the majority of Falcon 9 launches, and Vandenberg accounting for most of the industry launches in 2023.
