Pokémon Go AR Data Won’t Feed Drones, Niantic Spatial Clarifies
Niantic Spatial says Pokémon Go AR scans aren’t shared with it after Niantic’s move to Scopely, and that the data-sharing arrangement with Vantor is in early stages and does not include Pokémon Go data. The AR scans were voluntary and used to help train spatial AI, with data sharing effectively ended during the transition away from Niantic to Scopely.
