Kuwaiti media outlet, Kuwait News, has introduced the country's first AI-generated news anchor named Fedha. The virtual presenter will read news bulletins and may eventually develop a Kuwaiti accent. The move is a test of AI's potential to offer new and innovative content. Fedha is a popular Kuwaiti name that refers to silver, and the presenter's light-colored hair and eyes reflect the country's diverse population. China's state news agency unveiled its own virtual presenter in 2018.
