Brundle flags Madring's overtaking gaps, VSC drama and 2027 rule tweaks
Sky Sports F1 expert Martin Brundle critiques Madring's inaugural Spanish Grand Prix, pointing to the venue's limited overtaking opportunities, a very long pit lane, and how a late Virtual Safety Car timing altered the race outcome for Norris; Verstappen briefly gained a position but was obliged to hand it back after the rules decision, leaving Kimi Antonelli leading the championship. Brundle also contemplates potential 2027 track changes and tweaks to VSC rules to improve fairness and racing quality, acknowledging the trade-off with uninterrupted green-flag racing time.
