Feds Find Child-Labor and Wage Violations at San Antonio La Panadería
The U.S. Department of Labor found that three San Antonio La Panadería locations violated child labor provisions and minimum wage/overtime rules, resulting in $45,000 in back wages and penalties. The investigation cited a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old working overnight, though the company says minors were not on payroll and the issues relate to matters from 2024, which have since been addressed with strengthened policies.
