Ford Bronco Recall Targets Wiring Harness Fire Risk Across 2021–2026 Models
Ford is recalling 565,691 Broncos (2021–2026) due to a wiring harness issue that can rub and short, potentially igniting an engine-compartment fire. Ford has 15 known incidents (7 involving Bronco Raptor) and says warning signs include smoke in the vents or a cluster warning before flames, starting on the passenger side. Dealers will install abrasion-protective convolute sheathing and enhanced harness coverings at no cost; owner notices are expected by August 28.
