Subaru has unveiled the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness, a more off-road-capable version of its compact hatchback. The vehicle has been lifted, giving it up to 9.3 inches of ground clearance, and features all-terrain tires, steeper approach and departure angles, and a tow rating of 3,500 lbs. It also has a static roof load capacity of 700 lbs, allowing for rooftop tents. The Wilderness model is powered by a 2.5-liter boxer engine that makes 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT and lower final-drive gearing for additional low-end grunt. The Crosstrek Wilderness starts at $31,995, $7,000 more than a base-model Crosstrek.
