Over 807,000 cars made by Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and General Motors are under recall due to various issues, including defective windshield wipers, short circuits that may cause fires, and faulty transmissions. Car owners can check the NHTSA's database for new recalls and search for recalls based on their vehicle identification number (VIN). Impacted owners will receive instructions in the mail to take their vehicle to a dealer for a free repair.
