Moderna and Immatics join forces in $1.8B cancer research partnership

Moderna has entered into a $1.8 billion deal with TCR specialist Immatics to expand its position in mRNA-based cancer research. The agreement includes an upfront payment of $120 million and potential milestone payments of over $1.7 billion for three research programs, including a combination of Immatics' TCR-T candidate with a Moderna cancer vaccine. Immatics' program, IMA203, showed promising early data in patients with multiple pre-treated solid tumor types.
