Proskauer has filed an amended complaint against its former COO, Jonathan O’Brien, accusing him of conspiring with key executives to recruit senior officials and staff to join him at Paul Hastings. The firm also alleges that O’Brien shared recruiting information with the chair of the competing law firm, Frank Lopez, and violated his fiduciary duties to Proskauer. Paul Hastings denies soliciting or receiving any confidential or proprietary information. O’Brien's attorney claims the amended complaint was drafted with an eye towards using the media.
