Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos' space company, to build lunar lander for NASA's moon mission.

Blue Origin, owned by Jeff Bezos, has been awarded a $3.4 billion contract by NASA to develop a lunar lander named Blue Moon, which will transport astronauts to the moon's surface as early as 2029. NASA will use its own rockets and capsules to get astronauts to lunar orbit, but wants private companies to take over from there. Blue Origin plans to practice landing on the moon without a crew before putting astronauts on board. The company is also investing billions of dollars to help establish a permanent presence on the moon.
