Blue Origin secures NASA contract for lunar lander development

Blue Origin, owned by Jeff Bezos, has won a $3.4 billion NASA contract to develop a spacecraft that would land humans on the moon under the Artemis program. The spacecraft, called Blue Moon, is a four-legged lander 52 feet tall. The landing is scheduled for 2029, after two crewed landings by SpaceX. Blue Origin's approach involves developing a refueling capability in space and using reusable spacecraft that could remain in the vicinity of the moon between missions. The company is investing "well north of $3.4 billion" of its money into the program.
