International Airlines Suspend Flights to Israel Following Recent Attacks

Several major international airlines have suspended or reduced flight services to and from Tel Aviv following a surprise attack by Hamas militants on Israel. Israel's national carrier, El Al, has added more flights to bring reservists back to assist in the country's mobilization. The tourism sector in Israel, which contributes to 3.6% of total employment, is expected to be heavily impacted by flight cancellations. Regulators have urged caution in the region's airspace, but flights have not been officially suspended. Airlines such as United, Delta, American, Air France, Finnair, easyJet, Wizz Air, Lufthansa, TAP, and Virgin Atlantic have suspended or adjusted flights, while others like Ryanair, flyDubai, and El Al continue to operate. Hainan Airlines and other airlines from China, Hong Kong, and South Korea have canceled flights between Tel Aviv and Shanghai.
