The British Royal Family celebrated World Bee Day by sharing their love for beekeeping and honey production. Buckingham Palace and Clarence House have beehives that produce enough honey for the palaces to be self-sufficient. Queen Camilla is the President of Bees for Development, a charity that helps reduce poverty and improve biodiversity through beekeeping. The late Queen Elizabeth II was proud of the honey produced at Buckingham Palace and even gave a jar to Pope Francis. Princess Diana also kept bees at Anmer Hall and shared her honey with schoolchildren.
