"Breakthrough Study: Identifying Different Types of High-Risk Prostate Cancer"

Researchers have identified two distinct evotypes of adenocarcinoma in prostate cancer, offering hope for better identifying high-risk patients who need more aggressive treatment. By sequencing the genomes of 159 patients and using artificial intelligence, the study found that one evotype was twice as likely to lead to disease recurrence and metastasis. This discovery could lead to the development of a genetic test to tailor treatments for patients with adenocarcinoma of the prostate, potentially improving outcomes and opening up new possibilities for drug discovery.
