A tornado struck southeastern Missouri, killing five people and causing widespread destruction. This is the third in a series of deadly storms that have hit the Midwest and South over the past two weeks, spawning dozens of tornadoes and killing at least 63 people. The early severe storm season is continuing, and forecasters are keeping a wary eye out for more extreme weather. The damage was concentrated around Glen Allen and the small rural community of Grassy, which are separated by a hunting area. Missouri Governor Mike Parson toured the storm damage area and said President Joe Biden had called to assure him of federal help.
