New Mexico Supreme Court Affirms Democratic-Drawn Congressional Map

The court affirmed a lower court decision that the redistricting plan diluted the votes of political opponents but did not constitute "egregious" gerrymandering. The Republican Party argued that the new boundaries would entrench Democratic officials in power, but Democrats maintained that the affected district remains competitive.
