The Sole Reason Adam Kinzinger Remains a Republican

Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger stated that he still considers himself a Republican because he believes in the importance of having two healthy political parties. However, he admitted to voting for Democrats in the 2022 midterms and would do the same in a Donald Trump-Joe Biden matchup in 2024. Kinzinger emphasized that the key issue at stake is whether one believes in democracy or authoritarianism. He has been a vocal critic of Trump and was one of the Republicans who served on the Jan. 6 committee investigating the Capitol insurrection.
