"Voters Reject Democrat Gerrymandering, Redistricting Battles Hold Key to US House Control"

A poll conducted by GOP pollster John McLaughlin for the group Stop NY Corruption found that 72% of likely voters in New York oppose Democrats' attempts to redraw congressional district lines in order to give their candidates an advantage over Republicans in the 2024 elections. The survey also revealed that 81% of voters view partisan political redistricting as cheating, and 62% disapprove of current attempts to throw out the 2022 district lines drawn by a neutral special master. The poll highlights widespread opposition to gerrymandering and a belief that it leads to corruption and denies voters their civil right to choose their representatives in competitive elections.
