"Anticipating a Spectacular Northern Lights Display"

Skywatchers in the northern part of the country, particularly in Canada, may have the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights as several geomagnetic storms have erupted on the sun and are expected to impact the Earth. The best viewing times are usually a few hours either side of midnight. While predicting these storms is still an evolving science, there are chances of more Northern Lights events in the coming weeks as the solar cycle remains active.
