Saudi and Private Citizens Take Off on Commercial SpaceX Flight to Space Station

Saudi Arabia's first astronauts in decades, including the nation's first woman in space, launched on a chartered SpaceX flight to the International Space Station on Sunday. The four-person crew, sponsored by the Saudi Arabian government, will spend just over a week on the station before returning home. The flight was organized by Houston-based Axiom Space, which plans to start adding its own rooms to the station in a few years, eventually forming a stand-alone outpost available for hire. NASA now embraces space tourism with two private missions planned a year.
