SpaceX Launches Diverse Crew to Space Station.

SpaceX's Axiom-2 mission, contracted with NASA, launched from Kennedy Space Center carrying four astronauts, including the first two Saudi Arabian government-sponsored astronauts, on a 10-day journey to the International Space Station. The crew is commanded by former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and includes private spaceflight participant and mission pilot John Shoffner. Axiom Space did not disclose how much Shoffner and Saudi Arabia paid for the mission, but the company had previously cited a ticket price of $55 million each. The mission marks Axiom Space's second private flight to the space station, with plans to build its own free-flying space station in the coming years.
