California Hit by Spring Storms and Tornadoes.

An unseasonably cold storm hit Southern California, bringing heavy rain, snow, and winds up to 50 mph. The storm also spawned two small tornadoes, causing minor damage to buildings, vehicles, and trees. Winter weather advisories were posted for mountain ranges across three counties, with the highest peaks expected to receive up to 14 inches of snow. The storm runoff has caused flooding of San Joaquin Valley agricultural fields below the southern Sierra, but the major melt of the massive snowpack has yet to occur.
