Central Florida Braces for Severe Storms and Rare Rain Event.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most of Central Florida until 10 p.m. on Thursday, with the risk being greatest along the eastern coast. The worst of the weather is expected from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with wind, hail, and a tornado or two being possible threats. Heavy rain coupled with dry soil could also lead to localized flooding. Central Florida has been in a severe drought, so the downpours to come may bring some relief.
