Hailstorms wreak havoc across Florida and Georgia.

Portions of Florida and Georgia were hit by severe hail, causing damage to windows, fences, and pool screens. Large hail is rare in Florida due to its southern latitude and tropical climate, but a cold pool of air in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere allowed for the development of hailstones. The Storm Prediction Center warned of an enhanced risk for severe weather, including large and destructive hail, in Central Florida on Wednesday.
