A ridge of high pressure building over California will cause temperatures to rise, with daytime highs ranging from 10 to 20 degrees above normal. The heat is predicted to ease slightly beginning Friday, with temperatures dropping into the mid-80s. There is a slight chance of rain in the first week of May.
