Impending Heavy Rainfall Threatens Flooding in Metro Detroit

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Metro Detroit today, with a marginal risk of severe weather between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Damaging wind gusts and flash flooding are possible. The heavy rain is expected to continue overnight and smaller rain chances will persist throughout the rest of the week. Meanwhile, dangerous heat indices are forecasted for the Southern half of the U.S., and rain may return to the already saturated Northeast later this week.
