Intense Flooding Sweeps Through Chicago Area, Flash Flood Warning Continues

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect in Cook County, Gary, Hammond, and Orland Park until 1:30 p.m., with rain tapering off and decreasing clouds expected throughout the day. The evening will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers, followed by a chance of showers early on Monday before becoming partly sunny. The extended outlook shows partly sunny skies on Tuesday with a chance of showers in the afternoon, followed by more sunshine for the rest of the week and temperatures near 80 degrees. Fall begins on Saturday with the equinox.
