Midwest and Southern US Ravaged by Severe Tornado Outbreak

Severe storms and tornadoes have caused widespread destruction from Georgia to Illinois, with at least 14 tornadoes reported and numerous damaging wind reports. Homes and businesses were damaged, several people were injured, and over 100,000 utility customers remained without power. In addition, a long-duration winter storm is expected to bring significant snow and gusty winds across the Great Lakes and Northeast, prompting blizzard warnings and causing power outages in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
