Minnesota Braces for Another Snowstorm After Recent Blizzard

Heavy snowfall hit Minnesota, with the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport recording 8.5 inches of snow, ranking this season as the third snowiest in Twin Cities weather records. Spotty light rain and a wintry mix are expected in southern and central Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin on Sunday, while northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin may see a wintry mix with accumulating snow in parts of the far north. A strong low-pressure system could bring precipitation to the upper Midwest on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Twin Cities metro area and much of western Wisconsin seeing mainly rain and embedded thunderstorms, and portions of western and northern Minnesota experiencing heavy snow.
