A major storm system is expected to bring multiple seasons to eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa in the next 24 hours, with ongoing blizzard warnings in effect for central and western Nebraska. Interstate 80 is closed from Kearney west to Ogallala. Omaha will experience a drop in temperatures throughout the afternoon, with isolated strong to severe storms possible mainly east of the city. A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday from Norfolk to York, with less than 1 inch of snow expected in the Omaha metro.
