"Northeast Braces for Significant Flooding Threat from Powerful Storm"

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the entire state of New Jersey as a significant winter storm is expected to bring soaking rains, high winds, and coastal flooding starting Tuesday. The northern part of the state could see up to 4 inches of rain, leading to major river flooding, while the southern half may receive 2 to 3 inches. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph along the shore and 40 to 50 mph inland are anticipated, increasing the likelihood of power outages and widespread flooding across urban areas and waterways.
