"Oakland County Under Tornado Warnings: Stay Alert until 9:45"

Severe thunderstorms, including possible tornadoes, are moving through Metro Detroit, prompting watches and warnings. Tornado warnings for Oakland and Livingston counties have expired, but a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect. The storms are accompanied by 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. The National Weather Service advises seeking shelter in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoiding windows.
