Rainy Days Ahead: A Week of Scattered Showers and Cool Fronts

Rain chances are back for the entire area today as a cold front moves through the Ohio Valley. Scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected ahead of the boundary, with temperatures reaching 87 degrees. The first wave of rain will fade in the early afternoon, followed by additional isolated showers and storms in the evening. The strongest storms are likely to occur in eastern areas after 5 p.m., with a "marginal risk" for severe storms and damaging wind gusts. The rain chance ends overnight, leading to a partly cloudy and mild Thursday with highs of 80 degrees. Friday and the weekend are expected to be dry and partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 70s.
