Severe storms and possible tornadoes threaten Metro Detroit.

Southeast Michigan is under a slight risk for severe weather, including tornadoes, flooding, damaging winds, and hail. The biggest chance for severe weather is before 3 p.m. Two waves of storms are expected, with the second wave likely to be less severe. Metro Detroit could receive 2-3 inches of rain, posing flooding concerns. The Great Lakes Water Authority says its regional system is already near capacity. Threats of severe weather should diminish after 8 p.m. Wednesday.
