Severe storms and tornado watch expected for first official weekend of summer.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for 42 counties in Iowa until 7 PM CDT on Saturday, with the primary threats being a couple of possible tornadoes, scattered large hail, and isolated very large hail events up to 2.5 inches in diameter. The outlook for severe weather remains largely the same, with the main time frame for severe weather chance being from 3 PM until midnight. Showers and some isolated storms are possible on and off through Sunday, but these storms are not expected to be severe.
