Severe storms expected on Monday.

Parts of Virginia are under an enhanced risk of severe weather on Monday, with storms expected to develop in western Virginia by early to mid-afternoon and track into central Virginia by late afternoon. The main severe threat will be damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or higher, with large hail also a threat. Isolated tornadoes are possible, but the chance is low. Due to muggy weather, feels-like temps will be in the 90s to 100 prior to the storms arriving, and storms may produce heavy rainfall and localized flooding.
