Severe storms threaten Metro Detroit and Michigan.

A powerful low-pressure system is expected to hit lower Michigan on Wednesday, bringing severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and large hail. Tuesday will be mostly dry and cloudy, with rain showers developing later in the day. Wednesday is expected to see some of the highest temperatures this year, with highs reaching the upper 60s and mid-70s. The National Weather Service recommends staying prepared and setting up a communication plan with friends and family, knowing how to evacuate and/or get to safety, and staying aware of any active watches and warnings.
