Severe storms threaten Oklahoma and Alabama with tornadoes and hail.

Severe storms are expected in parts of Oklahoma on Wednesday and Thursday, with the bigger storm threat being on Thursday. The storms could produce 1-inch hail and 60 mph wind. Supercells will fire up in the Oklahoma Panhandle and in the western part of the state on Thursday, with a widespread marginal and slight threat throughout the state. The tornado index is a 2 out of 10 in part of the Panhandle and a 1 in most of the rest of the state, including the Oklahoma City metro. The storm cells will bring a sizeable amount of rain Thursday night.
