Severe storms wreak havoc across central and southern Plains, Colorado hit hard.

Severe weather including tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds continue to threaten the central and southern Plains through the end of the week. The Denver metro was hit by hail, while tornadoes were spotted around the Oklahoma City metro and in Kansas. A 600-year-old tree fell on a house in Conway, Arkansas. The National Weather Service reported an EF-1 tornado near the Shreveport Regional Airport. Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop on Friday and Saturday across a broad area extending from the mid-Missouri Valley southward to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
