Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Central and Western New York.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Central New York until 9 p.m. Thunderstorms producing heavy rain are possible this afternoon and night, with hazardous weather possible on Tuesday. Upstate New York could see rain heavy enough to cause flash floods in streets and rapid rises in creeks and streams.
