Severe thunderstorms are expected to move from west to east across Massachusetts on Wednesday, with some storms reaching severe criteria, especially over parts of western and central Massachusetts. The storms may contain frequent lightning, heavy downpours, isolated wind damage, or small hail. Thursday will be quieter with only an isolated risk of a few pop-up showers, while Friday will be a bit warmer with some showers and storms late in the day. The weekend will have numerous showers around on both days.
