Southern California water restrictions lifted for 7 million residents.

The 11th atmospheric river in California brought flooding, landslides, and toppled trees to the southern part of the state, but also brought drought-busting rainfall that ended water restrictions for nearly 7 million people. Despite the relief, 27,000 people are still under evacuation orders statewide due to weather-related damage. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California imposed the restrictions last year during a severe shortage of state water supplies. The state could potentially see a 12th atmospheric river next week.
