Texas Braces for Severe Storms and Flooding Threat This Week

Texas is in the bull's-eye of a severe weather threat with two days of severe storms expected across parts of the Interstate 35 corridor before the threat shifts to the central Gulf Coast on Thursday. The storms could initially be in the form of supercells, which would pose a risk of damaging winds and hail. Heavy rain is also expected across the Plains and South, which could lead to multiple days with a washout this week. The rain should help to ease the ongoing drought conditions in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, but it won't be nearly enough to erase the drought.
